MUMBAI: Zee Cinema has launched a search for India’s first movie jockey (MJ). It will be a four city auditions process to find the face for its primetime property, Klub.

Zee Cinema business head Mohan Gopinath says, "Zee Cinema will add a whole new dimension to movie entertainment on television through ‘Klub MJ Hunt.’ Besides watching the movie, people are always curious to know of what goes behind the scenes and nuggets of their favourite actors. The MJ would be a total Hindi Cinema lover. He/she will be an interface of the channel with its audiences on Klub.”

The hunt for the MJ will begin on 19 November in Delhi and move to Madhya Pradesh, Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra.

The channel has roped in Mohan Kapoor and Rageshwari to be on the judges’ panel for the auditions. Eight finalists from across the country after a series of auditions and screen tests will participate in the finale in Mumbai. The entire event will be televised starting mid-December.

The event is being promoted through on-ground activities and below-the-line (BTL) promotions in each of the regions and also across the country with an on-air promotion on the network channels.

Prior to this, the channel has also undertaken a slew of interactive initiatives like Shanivaar Ki Raat Online Game and Malamaal Diwali contest.
